The Kidney meridian (KI) belongs to the Water element. It starts on the sole of the foot, runs below the medial malleolus up the inner leg to the lower abdomen, then ascends across the abdomen to the chest. Traditionally used to nourish Yin and essence, support water balance, calmness and stability, and aid local tissues of foot, leg, abdomen and chest.
