KI9 is located on the medial side of the hind limb, about 5 cun above KI3, between the tendon and the tibia.

KI9 is located on the medial aspect of the lower leg, 5 cun proximal to KI3, in the depression between the deep digital flexor muscle and the medial surface of the tibia.
KI9 is used to calm the Shen, treat anxiety, kidney Yin deficiency, and certain reproductive disorders.
For KI9, be aware of the proximity to major vessels and nerves; aseptic technique is essential to avoid infection.
