Location

KI19 is located on the lateral abdomen of the horse, at the level of the last rib, about a thumb's width from the midline.

Medical information

KI19 is located 0.5 cun lateral to the ventral midline, at the level of the 14th intercostal space, between KI18 and KI20.

KI19 is used to harmonize the stomach and intestines, for abdominal pain, and to strengthen kidney yin.

Caution with deep needling, as KI19 is in close proximity to the peritoneum and organs such as the intestine and kidney.
