KI22 is located in the sixth intercostal space, approximately 2 cun lateral to the midline, at the level of the insertion of the deep pectoral muscle.
KI22 is used to treat thoracic congestion, dyspnea, cough, and to strengthen kidney and lung energy.
Caution when needling, as KI22 is close to the lungs and heart; risk of pneumothorax. Needle only superficially.
