Location

TH9 is located on the forelimb, about four finger-widths above the carpus, between the radius and ulna, on the lateral side of the limb.

Functions

Sidu is used to relieve pain and swelling in the forelimb and to promote energy flow along the meridian.

Medical information

TH9 is located on the course of the Triple Heater meridian, laterally on the forearm, between the extensor carpi ulnaris and extensor digitorum lateralis muscles, approximately 4 cun proximal to the carpus.

Indicated for the treatment of local pain, edema, lameness, and for harmonizing the Triple Heater meridian. Supports the elimination of dampness and heat.

Caution in cases of local lesions or infections; avoid deep stimulation to prevent damage to surrounding structures.
