Location

TH11 is located on the lateral side of the upper arm, in the depression between the triceps brachii and brachialis muscles, approximately halfway between the olecranon and the shoulder joint.

TH11 is used to treat shoulder and upper arm myalgia, paralysis, and local swelling. It has a cooling effect and promotes movement along the meridian.

When treating TH11, be aware of the proximity to important nerves and vessels. Avoid deep needling to prevent injury.
