BL45 is located bilaterally at the level of the 6th thoracic vertebra, 3 cun lateral to the dorsal midline, at the level of the medial border of the scapula.

BL45 is used for treating thoracic pain, cough, asthma, and muscular tension in the thoracic region.

For BL45, be aware of the proximity to the lungs and pleura. Deep needling may cause pneumothorax, so only superficial needling is recommended.
