Bl44 is located bilaterally at the level of the fourth thoracic vertebra (T4), approximately 3 cun lateral to the dorsal midline, in the second intercostal space.
Bl44 is used to support lung function, address thoracic pain, and calm the spirit. It is also relevant for chronic cough and emotional stress.
When treating Bl44, be aware of the proximity to the lungs and pleura. Avoid deep needling to prevent pneumothorax.
