Yin Heel 9 – Renying, ST9

The Yin Qiao 9 – Renying (ST9) point is an important acupuncture point on the horse’s neck, often used to support circulation and address issues in the neck area.

ST9 is located on the line between the angle of the mandible and the thoracic inlet, at the level of the larynx, immediately lateral to the common carotid artery.

ST9 is located directly over the common carotid artery and the vagus nerve. Improper stimulation can lead to serious complications such as bleeding or circulatory disturbances.
