Yin Heel 9 – Renying, ST9

The Yin Qiao 9 – Renying (ST9) point is an important acupuncture point on the horse’s neck, often used to support circulation and address issues in the neck area.

Location

ST9 is located on the side of the neck, about halfway between the lower jaw and the chest, right next to the carotid artery.

ST9 is located directly over the common carotid artery and the vagus nerve. Improper stimulation can lead to serious complications such as bleeding or circulatory disturbances.
