Yin Heel 10 – Dicang, ST4

Yin Qiao 10 – Dicang (ST4) is an acupuncture point on the Stomach meridian, often used for issues involving the mouth and lips.

Dicang is located laterally at the corner of the mouth, about one finger’s width from the mouth’s corner.

ST4 is located lateral to the mouth corner, on the line connecting the mouth corner to the nostril, approximately 0.5 cun lateral to the mouth corner.

Dicang is used for treating facial paralysis, local pain, salivation disorders, and to support oral motor function.

Caution during needling, as the point is close to nerves and blood vessels. Use aseptic technique and ensure the horse is calmly restrained.
