Safety

Medical information

ST12 is located in the dorsal third of the interval between the brachiocephalicus and sternocephalicus muscles, cranial to the manubrium sterni.

ST12 is used to treat thoracic and cervical disorders, dyspnea, cough, and to regulate Qi flow in the upper third of the body.

Due to the proximity of the common carotid artery, jugular vein, and vagus nerve, precise technique is essential; avoid deep needling or injections.
