Safety

This point should be used with caution, as it is located near sensitive structures in the pelvic area.

Medical information

CV2 is located on the ventral midline, immediately cranial to the pubic symphysis, at the level of the anterior border of the pubic symphysis.

CV2 is used to treat dysuria, anuria, incontinence, reproductive organ disorders, and to regulate the lower Jiao. It can also be used for lumbosacral issues.

Exercise caution when needling, as CV2 is close to the bladder, urethra, and major blood vessels. Special care is required in pregnant mares and in cases of pelvic infections.
