Medical information

KI10 (Yingu) is located in the popliteal fossa, between the tendon of the semitendinosus muscle and the medial condyle of the tibia, at the level of the medial knee joint space.

KI10 tonifies kidney yin, clears heat, and assists in fluid regulation. It is used for lameness, edema, and disorders of the lower back.

KI10 should be needled with sterile needles and with attention to anatomical structures to avoid injury to vessels or nerves.
