KI8 is located on the hind limb, about 0.5 cun anterior and slightly below KI7, just behind the medial border of the tibia.

KI8 is located 0.5 cun anterior and slightly distal to KI7, just posterior to the medial border of the tibia, between the deep digital flexor muscle and the cranial tibial muscle.
KI8 regulates the Yin Qiao Mai, tonifies Kidney Yin, and is used for disorders of the hind limbs, edema, and gynecological issues.
KI8 should be needled with fine technique to avoid hematoma and irritation of tendon structures.
