Medical information

BL1 is located at the medial canthus, slightly dorsal to the lacrimal punctum, between the medial palpebral ligament and the orbital bone.

BL1 is used to treat ocular disorders such as conjunctivitis, blepharospasm, and epiphora. It regulates the Qi of the Bladder and Liver meridians in the eye region.

Due to the proximity to the eyeball, utmost caution is required; use only fine needles and a calm horse. Do not manipulate in cases of infection or injury.
