3E23 is located in the depression at the lateral canthus, dorsal to the zygomatic arch, caudal to the lateral palpebral ligament.

Due to its proximity to the eye, precise needling technique is required to avoid injury to the eye and surrounding structures. Avoid deep or aggressive stimulation.
