TH14 is located cranial and slightly distal to the greater tubercle of the humerus, in the depression between the deltoid and infraspinatus muscles.
TH14 is used to treat shoulder joint dysfunctions, local myopathies, and to promote Qi flow in the shoulder region.
When needling TH14, be aware of the proximity to the joint capsule and nerves; avoid deep or aggressive techniques.
