Location

ST15 is located about halfway down the lateral thoracic wall, between the 3rd and 4th intercostal spaces, approximately one hand's width below the shoulder joint.

ST15 is located on the line between the shoulder joint and the elbow, at the 3rd-4th intercostal space, about 1 cun ventral to the stomach meridian line.

ST15 is used for treating thoracic pain, dyspnea, mastitis, and to support local circulation.

Caution with deep needling, as there is a risk of pneumothorax in this area. Use only superficial and appropriate technique.
