Medical information

SP15 is located 3 cun lateral to the center of the umbilicus, at the level of the navel, in the area of the rectus abdominis muscle.

SP15 is used to treat constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and to support peristalsis. It influences the large intestine Qi and harmonizes the middle.

Due to proximity to abdominal organs, correct needling technique is essential to avoid risk of perforation. Avoid deep needling in thin or debilitated horses.
