Location

SP14 is located on the lateral abdominal wall, approximately 1.5 cun lateral to the midline and 1.5 cun below SP13.

Medical information

SP14 is located on the line between SP13 and SP15, 1.5 cun lateral to the ventral midline at the abdominal level, usually between the bellies of the oblique abdominal muscles.

SP14 is used for regulation of the Fu organs, particularly in cases of lower digestive tract disorders, meteorism, and to relieve abdominal pain.

Caution with deep needling, as proximity to the peritoneum and organs such as intestines and spleen poses a risk. Use only with thorough knowledge.
