Medical information

SI12 is located in the dorsal scapular region, in the depression between the scapular spine and the upper border of the scapula, approximately at the level of the 2nd intercostal space.

SI12 is used for treating myofascial pain, local muscle tension, and to support shoulder and thoracic issues. It can also be used for wind invasions and to harmonize the small intestine meridian.

Caution is advised when needling, as SI12 is close to the scapula and brachial plexus. Avoid deep insertion to prevent injury to neurovascular structures.
