GB9 is located just behind the base of the ear, slightly above the line connecting the ear and the eye.

GB9 is located caudal to the base of the ear, cranial to the mastoid process, about one finger's width dorsal to the ear-eye line.
Indicated for the treatment of headaches, local neuralgias, restlessness, and as support in neurological disorders of the head region.
