GB8 is located at the intersection of a line from the outer canthus to the ear, approximately 1.5 cun above the base of the ear, in the region of the temporalis muscle.

GB8 is used to treat headaches, migraines, dizziness, and local muscle tension. It may also support treatment of tinnitus and seizures.

Caution in horses with thin cranial bones or increased pain sensitivity. Avoid deep needling to prevent perforation or irritation.
