GB24 is found in the 7th intercostal space, at the junction of the middle and lower third of the thorax, at elbow level, palpable between the ribs.

GB24 is the Mu point of the gallbladder, influences liver and gallbladder Qi, promotes Qi circulation in the hypochondrium, and supports cases of liver Qi stagnation.

Caution in cases of rib fractures, thoracic trauma, or local inflammation. Avoid deep needling to prevent pneumothorax.
