Bl63 is located below the cuboid bone, on the outside of the hind limb, just before the hock joint.

Medical information

Bl63 is located distal and slightly plantar to the cuboid bone, between the lateral branch of the suspensory ligament and the insertion of the peroneus tertius muscle.

Bl63 is the Xi-cleft point of the Bladder meridian and is used for acute pain, hind limb lameness, and treatment of local trauma.

When needling Bl63, be aware of the proximity to tendons and ligaments. Strict aseptic technique is essential to avoid infection.
