Lianquan (CV23) is located in the depression at the upper end of the ventral midline of the neck, cranial to the larynx, between the insertions of the sternohyoid muscles.
Lianquan is used to treat dysphagia, laryngeal paralysis, cough, hoarseness, and local inflammation. It influences Qi circulation in the throat region.
Caution during needling, as proximity to the trachea and major blood vessels increases the risk of complications. Avoid deep needling and maintain sterile technique.
