ST8 is located at the intersection of a horizontal line through the outer canthus and a vertical line through the base of the ear, approximately 0.5 cun above the anterior frontal line.
ST8 clears heat and wind from the head region, used for headaches, dizziness, eye disorders, and local pain. It influences the Yang Wei Mai and the Stomach meridian.
Caution is required when needling, as the point is close to the superficial temporal artery and sensitive nerves. Avoid deep needling to prevent injury.
