Location

Benshen is located on the side of the head, about one hand's width above the outer corner of the eye, slightly behind the forehead.

GB13 is located on the line between the outer canthus of the eye and the base of the ear, about one hand's width cranially and slightly caudal to the frontal hairline.

Benshen is used to treat Shen disturbances, headaches, epilepsy, and to support in cases of emotional stress. It can promote mental clarity.

Caution during needling, as the point is close to the skull bone. Use atraumatic technique and maintain sterile conditions.
