Location

Du2 is located on the midline of the back, at the level of the sacrum, between the last lumbar vertebra and the first sacral vertebra.

Functions

Du2 can help improve mobility in the lumbar region and release tension in the back. It is often used for issues in the sacral area.

Du2 is located on the dorsal midline, in the depression between the spinous process of the last lumbar vertebra (L6) and the first sacral vertebra (S1).

Du2 is used for treating lumbosacral issues, sciatica, hindquarter weakness, and to support local Qi and blood circulation.

Caution is advised in horses with known spinal issues or after lumbosacral trauma. Avoid deep needling to prevent risk to the spinal cord.
