Location

Du3 is located on the dorsal midline, in the depression between the spinous processes of the fourth and fifth lumbar vertebrae (L4-L5).

Du3 regulates the Yang Qi of the lumbar region, strengthens the hindquarters, alleviates lumbago, and is used in neurological disorders of the hind limbs.

Caution is advised in horses with spinal issues or local lesions. Aseptic technique and precise localization are essential to avoid complications.
