Du1 is located at the junction between the base of the tail and the anus, exactly on the midline under the tail root.

Du1 is located on the dorsal midline, exactly between the last sacral vertebra and the first coccygeal vertebra, in the depression under the tail base.

Du1 is used for disorders of the pelvis, hindlimb paralysis, rectal and anal problems, and to harmonize the Du Mai.

Du1 should only be needled with sterile needles and strict hygiene due to its proximity to the anus and tail base. Caution in cases of local infection or injury.
