Safety
Treating this point is challenging and carries risks, as it is located in the sensitive oral cavity. Never use it without proper training.
Medical information
Du28 is located on the median palatine raphe, immediately dorsal to the incisive papilla, centered between the upper incisors and the hard palate.
In TCM, Du28 is used for acute emergencies such as collapse, as well as local issues like stomatitis, gingivitis, or dental problems. Its use is limited due to its location.
Du28 should only be treated under strict indication and with utmost care to avoid mucosal injury or stress for the horse.
