Ren9 is located on the midline of the abdomen, approximately 1.5 cun above the umbilicus.

This point should be treated carefully, as it is located near sensitive abdominal organs. Always use clean equipment and ensure the horse is calm.
Medical information
Ren9 is located on the ventral midline, 1.5 cun cranial to the umbilicus, between Ren8 (Shenque) and Ren10 (Xiawan).
Ren9 promotes the transformation and excretion of fluids, used in cases of edema, ascites, and disorders of fluid metabolism.
Caution in horses with thin abdominal walls or suspected peritonitis; avoid deep needling. Strict aseptic technique is mandatory.
