Ren8 is located precisely in the center of the horse's navel.
Functions
Ren8 is traditionally used to strengthen the center and in cases of weakness, especially with cold or collapse.

This point should never be needled as it is located in the navel. Only external applications such as moxibustion are safe.
Medical information
Ren8 is located exactly at the center of the navel, on the ventral midline.
Ren8 tonifies Yang, stabilizes Qi, and is used in cases of severe central deficiency, collapse, diarrhea, and cold symptoms. Moxibustion is the preferred technique.
Ren8 must not be needled (contraindicated) due to the risk of perforation and infection. Only moxibustion or other non-invasive methods are indicated.
