TH6 is located on the forelimb, about 3 cun proximal to the carpus on the dorsolateral side, between the radius and ulna.

TH6 is located on the Triple Heater meridian, 3 cun proximal to the lateral carpal joint space, between the radius and ulna, usually at the level of the muscle belly of the lateral digital extensor.

TH6 is used to treat Triple Heater stagnation, promote Qi flow, in cases of constipation, colic, and to relieve pain in the distal forelimb.

When needling TH6, pay attention to depth and direction to avoid injuring surrounding structures.
