TH21 is located in the depression anterior to the tragus, just in front of the ear canal, at the level of the temporomandibular joint.
TH21 is used for treating otalgia, temporomandibular joint dysfunctions, and local congestion. It influences ear opening and regulates local Qi and blood flow.
Caution is advised during needling, as the point is close to the facial nerve and sensitive ear structures. Avoid deep or aggressive stimulation.
