Medical information

ST38 is located on the lateral midline of the lower leg, between the cranial tibial muscle and the long digital extensor muscle, usually at the distal half of the tibia.

ST38 is frequently used for shoulder stiffness and local issues of the distal limb. It has a strong effect on mobility and can reflexively influence the shoulder region.

For ST38, be mindful of the proximity to tendons and sensitive structures. Avoid deep needling to prevent injury.
