Stomach 17 (ST17) – Nipple level
Stomach 17 (ST17) is an acupuncture point on the stomach meridian, located at the level of the nipples in horses. It is rarely used in traditional Chinese medicine.

Location
ST17 is located at the level of the nipples, around the fourth intercostal space, lateral to the sternum. In horses, the exact location is difficult as nipples are not visible.
Safety
For safety reasons, ST17 should not be needled as it is close to sensitive structures. The use of this point is not recommended.
