Medical information

SP11 is located on the medial thigh, on the line between SP10 and SP12, approximately 2 cun distal to SP10, directly above the femoral vein.

SP11 is used to treat stagnation in the Spleen meridian, promote local circulation, and address hind limb disorders. It may also be indicated for edema and muscle weakness.

Caution is required when needling, as SP11 is in close proximity to the femoral vein. Deep or improper needling may cause hematoma or vascular injury.
