SI5 is located in the depression distal and lateral to the accessory carpal bone, between the lateral splint bone and the carpal joint, at the level of the lateral carpal ligament.

SI5 is used to treat pain and stiffness in the carpal joint, fever, restlessness, and to support the small intestine meridian. It also helps to clear heat from the meridian.

SI5 should be treated with caution, as the area is sensitive and close to important structures. Avoid treatment in cases of local inflammation or injury.
