Location

PC1 is located in the chest area, about a thumb's width behind the point of the elbow, in a depression between the chest wall and the shoulder.

Medical information

PC1 is located in the 5th intercostal space, medial to the shoulder, at the level of the elbow joint space, in the depression between the pectoralis descendens and triceps brachii muscles.

PC1 is used to treat thoracic congestion, heart Qi stagnation, anxiety, and to support lactation.

PC1 is close to the cephalic vein and other major vessels. Needling should be performed with particular caution, preferably using fine needles.
