Location

LI7 is located on the inside of the hind limb, just above the stifle joint, between the tibia and femur.

This point should be treated with care to avoid injuring the surrounding tissues and sensitive structures of the stifle joint.

Medical information

LI7 is located proximally and medially to the stifle joint, in the depression between the medial femoral condyle and the medial tibial head.

LI7 is used for treating lameness, swelling, and pain in the stifle area, and to support the liver meridian.

When needling LI7, be aware of the proximity to major vessels and nerves. Improper or overly deep needling may cause injury.
