Location

LI6 is located on the inside of the hind limb, about 7 cun above the medial hock joint, between the tibia and the muscles.

Functions

LI6 is used to regulate liver Qi, relieve pain along the meridian, and support acute muscular issues.

Medical information

LI6 is located on the medial aspect of the hind limb, 7 cun proximal to the medial malleolus, in a depression between the cranial tibial muscle and the deep digital flexor muscle.

LI6 is used for acute liver Qi stagnation, local pain, edema, and to support acute muscular injuries along the liver meridian.

LI6 should be used cautiously in debilitated or highly sensitive horses. Strict aseptic technique is mandatory.
