GB27 is located at the intersection of a line from the tuber coxae to the center of the abdomen and a line parallel to the lumbar spine, approximately at the level of the 13th intercostal space.

GB27 is used to treat stagnation in the Gallbladder and Liver meridians, lumbago, hip issues, and groin disorders. It can promote Qi circulation in the lower jiao.

Use caution with deep palpation, as sensitive structures such as the inguinal canal and major blood vessels are nearby. Do not needle in cases of local trauma or infection.
