This point should be treated carefully, as the head area is sensitive. Only work with a calm horse and use gentle pressure.
Medical information
BL6 is located on the midline of the skull, directly at the vertex, approximately at the level of the line connecting the bases of the ears.
BL6 is used to calm the Shen, for headaches, restlessness, and to promote local circulation.
Caution is advised when needling, as the area is thin over bone and sensitive. Avoid deep needling to prevent injury.
