Yang Linking 10 – Muchuang, GB16

GB16, also known as Muchuang, is an acupuncture point on the Gallbladder meridian, used in horses to support the nervous system and for eye-related issues.

Location

GB16 is located on the lateral side of the head, about one hand's width above the outer corner of the eye, slightly behind the line connecting the eye and ear.

Functions

Muchuang can be used to relieve headaches, eye problems, and to calm the mind.

GB16 is located on the line between GB15 and GB17, approximately 1.5 cun above the outer canthus of the eye, on the temporal line.

GB16 is used to treat headaches, dizziness, epilepsy, eye disorders, and to calm the Shen. It influences the pathway of the Yang Wei Mai.

Caution is required when needling, as the point is close to the skull surface and important nerves. Avoid deep insertion to prevent injury.
