GB29, also known as Juliao, is an important acupuncture point located at the horse’s hip. It is often used to support mobility and address issues in the hip area.
Location
GB29 is located at the junction between the pelvis and the thigh muscles, in the depression between the sacrum and the femoral head.

GB29 is located in the depression between the tuber coxae and the greater trochanter, at the level of the hip joint, laterally at the pelvis-femur junction.
Indicated for coxarthrosis, hip joint dysfunction, lumbosacral issues, and to promote local Qi and blood circulation.
Caution with deep needling to avoid injury to the sciatic nerve and surrounding vessels. Strict aseptic technique is mandatory.
