Penetration 5 – Siman, KI14
Chong 5 – Siman (Kidney 14) is an important acupuncture point on the kidney meridian in horses. It is often used to support reproductive organs and address lower abdominal issues.
Location
Chong 5 – Siman is located on the ventral side, about 2 cun lateral to the midline and 2 cun below the umbilicus.

It can help relieve pain and tension in the lower abdomen and is often used for disorders of the reproductive organs.

Medical information
KI14 is located 2 cun lateral to the ventral midline, 2 cun caudal to the umbilicus, within the abdominal musculature.
KI14 regulates Qi in the lower abdomen, supports uterus and ovaries, and is used for dysmenorrhea, colic, and stagnation in the lower jiao.
Caution with deep needling to avoid perforation of abdominal organs. Do not use in pregnant mares.
