Du13 is located on the midline of the back, precisely in the depression between the first and second thoracic vertebrae.

Du13 is located on the dorsal midline, in the intervertebral space between T1 and T2, usually palpable as a small depression.

Du13 is used for modulation of Wei Qi, in infectious diseases, fever, heat syndromes, and to support immune defenses.

When needling Du13, be aware of the proximity to the spinal cord and dorsal spinous processes. Aseptic technique and careful depth are essential.
