ST30 is located in the groin, about one hand's width lateral to the midline, at the level of the thigh attachment.

Medical information

ST30 is located bilaterally to the linea alba, approximately two thumb-widths lateral, at the level of the pectineus muscle insertion, in the inguinal fossa.

ST30 is used to treat lower jiao stagnation, colic, edema, reproductive organ disorders, and to promote Qi flow in the pelvic region.

Caution is required when needling, as large blood vessels and nerves are nearby. Aseptic technique and a calm horse are essential.
